Lupita Nyong’o is gearing up for more light-hearted fare after her acclaimed performance in Jordan Peele's horror movie "Us."

The Oscar-winning actress is reteaming with director Abe Forsythe from "Little Monsters," the zombie comedy that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

The sci-fi comedy is described as "Men in Black" meets "Miss Congeniality." Universal won the auction to distribute it.

Forsythe is an Australian filmmaker who began his career as an actor, then segued into writing and directing. "Little Monsters" is his second feature film and stars Nyong'o and Josh Gad as chaperones on a school trip that goes awry due to a zombie apocalypse.

Nyong'o is coming off of Peele's newest horror hit, "Us," and last year's blockbuster/Oscar nominee "Black Panther." She is next featured as the voice of Maz Kanata in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
