Music to the rescue!

The first promo is here for "Nashville" season 5, which sees the country music drama move from ABC to CMT. And though the stars are surrounded by bright lights and gold sparks, it's clear that all that razzle dazzle hides a world of hurt. As Connie Britton's Rayna James says, "We all break. That's what makes us human."

The promo also has Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes front and center. The season 4 finale ended with Juliette's plane missing, but clearly, the feisty singer survives the situation and returns to Nashville to her ex Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and their young daughter, Cadence.

Cast members Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne), Clare Bowen (Scarlett O'Connor), Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott), Chris Carmack (Will Lexington), and Lennon Stella (Maddie Conrad) all appear in the promo.

"Nashville" was canceled by ABC last spring, but rescued by CMT (a very appropriate new home), which gave the show a full season order of 22 episodes.

Y'all ready for some drama? "Nashville" season 5 premieres with a two-hour episode on January 5.
