"Mr. Iglesias" is graduating to a second season.

Netflix has renewed the comedy series starring Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias as the titular character, Deadline reports. He stars as Gabe Iglesias, a history teacher trying to help misfit kids unlock their full potential. The show's other stars include Sherri Shepherd, Maggie Geha, Jacob Vargas, Richard Gant, Cree Cicchino, and Fabrizio Guido.

Iglesias celebrated the renewal on Twitter on Thursday. He shared that Season 2 was happening and thanked his fans for making the show "a global hit."

As Iglesias's tweet indicates, the response to the comedy since it premiered on June 21 has been quite positive. On Rotten Tomatoes, for example, Season 1 has an 88% Tomatometer rating and an 82% audience score at the time of this writing. The renewal from Netflix is another good sign.

"Mr. Iglesias" creator Kevin Hench will again serve as showrunner in Season 2. He'll also continue to executive produce with Iglesias, Ron DeBlasio, and Joe Meloche, per Deadline. So far, no release date for the upcoming second season has been announced.
