The survival of Bear Grylls will rest in the hands of Netflix viewers.

The streaming service is debuting a live-action interactive show, "You vs. Wild," on April 10. Much like the "Black Mirror" movie "Bandersnatch," it will allow viewers to make choices within each of the eight episodes. So, they will control what Grylls (Discovery's "Man vs. Wild") does as he treks across jungles, mountains, deserts, and forests — and whether or not he succeeds in his quest for survival.

"For the first time, my survival is in your hands," the star said in a tweet sharing the announcement video.

This is Netflix's most high-profile use of the interactive technology that was developed for "Bandersnatch." Netflix exec Todd Yellin recently said the company is "doubling down" on interactive series after the success of the movie.
