The "Once Upon a Time" showrunners just admitted "some people's stories are going to be completed" at the end of Season 6. However, they cautioned that the story may not end there, and they expressed hope for the "opportunity" to "transition" the series in Season 7.

Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz teased what's next to Entertainment Weekly, after Henry's (Jared Gilmore) Author powers started to take over in Season 6, Episode 16, "Mother's Little Helper."

Kitsis explained that Henry's powers are escalating because "we've reached the end of the very first book. At a certain point, people say, 'When are they going to get their happy endings?' By the end of this year, some people's stories are going to be completed -- whether they're good or bad, we'll have to wait and see." Horowitz jumped in to point out that "'completed' is a loaded term" and fans may jump to the wrong conclusion there. So Kitsis compared it to the transition after high school:

"Yeah, you completed high school and that was the end of high school, but then there was the next chapter. For us, we feel like after six seasons, there's a chapter of people's lives that we're ready to wrap up, but there's a big future, like with anybody, and a transition. We're excited if we get an opportunity, and a Season 7, to show everyone that."

What does that mean? Will there be a Season 7 or not? If so, how will it "transition" our favorite characters, and whose stories will be "completed"? We've been wondering this since the first rumors came out about OUAT hitting the "reset button" if there's a next season. Will Henry's story continue, along with maybe a few others?

Lana Parilla (Regina/Evil Queen) said it's a confusing situation for the stars as well, telling EW:

"Everyone's a bit baffled by the whole concept because we don't really know what that means. And us actors don't really know what that means. We know that this story is coming to an end, but we don't know how it's ending, and I think what's unknown is also what's so scary about it."

OUAT Season 6 has 22 episodes, and Horowitz revealed that the last two episode titles are "The Final Battle Part 1" and "The Final Battle Part 2." Those episodes will air in May.

"Once" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC. The next episode, April 16's "Awake," should bring us good news for Snow and Charming.
