Maybe Poldark's abs won't go into hibernation for the autumn!

BBC One unveiled the first trailer for "Poldark" season 2, and it's packed with action — lots of fighting, slapping, horseback riding, and shirtless mining.

Yup, star Aiden Turner does bare his abs, just as he famously did in the series debut while scything a field sans top. The shirtless shot in the trailer is surprising since writer Debbie Horsfield had previously said, "Autumn is very chilly in Cornwall, so he won't be doing any in that."

Well, looks like he did.
Season 2 opens with Poldark in legal trouble, as well as some marital trouble. Wife Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) backhands him at one point — though Poldark also rescues her from the sea. And ex-fiancee Elizabeth (Heida Reid) is still in the picture, and she ominously wonders in voiceover, "Cannot a woman love two men? Cannot a man love two women?"

Sure, as long as he keeps his shirt off ...

"Poldark" season 2 premieres September 4 in the U.K. on BBC One. In the U.S., it will premiere September 25 on PBS.
