Hugh Jackman may have shaved off his signature Wolverine mutton chops for the last time, but that hasn't stopped fellow superhero star Ryan Reynolds from wanting one more onscreen collaboration between Logan and the Merc with a Mouth.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds -- a newly-minted Golden Globe nominee -- said he desperately wants to make one more Deadpool-Wolverine movie, even though Jackman has said that the upcoming third standalone Wolverine film, "Logan," will be his last appearance as the X-Men hero.

"What we're gonna have to do is convince Hugh," Reynolds told EW. "If anything, I'm going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line."

Those internet friends were mighty helpful in getting "Deadpool" made, so if anyone is up to the task of changing Jackman's mind, it's certainly Reynolds's faithful -- and unrelenting -- fans. And while Reynolds admits that part of the appeal of reuniting the characters (who first appeared together in 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine") is Wolverine's inherent awesomeness and their onscreen spark, it's also because Jackman is, according to Reynolds, "one of the best human beings."

"Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire, but [because] I genuinely love the guy," the actor explained to EW.

Keep your fingers crossed, and keep tweeting at Jackman, superhero fans.
