Samuel L. Jackson may be teaming up with Chris Rock in the upcoming re-imagining of "Saw."

A rumor first began floating on Reddit that Jackson was seen filming on the movie's set in Toronto, and Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that the inclusion of the Marvel star (most recently seen in "Spider-Man: Far From Home").

The reboot was first announced in May. At the time, Rock said, "I’ve been a fan of ‘Saw’ since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”

The "Saw" movies revolve around John Kramer aka the Jigsaw Killer, who creates death traps for victims to test their moral characters.

The franchise has been extremely successful, generating $1 billion worldwide. The most recent installment was 2017's "Jigsaw."

Darren Lynn Bousman — who directed "Saw II," "Saw III," and "Saw IV" — returns behind the camera for the new installment. "Jigsaw" writers Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg penned the script.

The new project is described as a re-imagining and a spinoff and has a release date of October 23, 2020.
