MMA fighter Ronda Rousey will be stepping into a different kind of ring this month — the comedy ring.

She'll take on the daunting feat of hosting "Saturday Night Live," joining the ranks of other athletes who've headlined the show, like Peyton Manning, Derek Jeter, and Chris Evert.

"SNL" returns with new episodes for the first time in 2016 on January 16 with "Girls" star Adam Driver. "The Force Awakens" is still rampaging at the box office, while "Girls" returns February 21. Driver will be joined by musical guest Chris Stapleton.

Then, the next week, on January 23, Rousey will host with musical guest Selena Gomez.

The MMA fighter is no stranger to acting: She appeared in "The Expendables 3,""Furious 7," and "Entourage" the movie. And she's set to star in the remake of the Patrick Swayze classic "Road House."
