Hulu is staying "Shrill" for the foreseeable future: The streaming service announced that it has renewed the breakout comedy series for another season.

"Shrill," based on the 2016 memoir "Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman" by Lindy West, stars longtime "Saturday Night Live" cast member Aidy Bryant. Bryant plays Annie Easton, a young woman on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Annie wants to change her life -- but not her body. She's trying to make it as a writer while juggling bad boyfriends, a sick parent, and a perfectionist boss, while the world around her deems her not good enough because of her weight. She starts to realize that she’s as good as anyone else, and acts on it.

According to TVLine, season two of "Shrill" will feature an increased episode count from season one. Instead of six installments, the show's sophomore outing will run for eight.

The site also reports that it's unclear if the success of "Shrill" will impact Bryant's tenure on "SNL," where she's starred since 2012. We hope for the sake of television fans that the hilarious actress is able to continue juggling both.
