'SNL' Finds Its New Donald Trump in Alec Baldwin
"Saturday Night Live" already has its Hillary Clinton in Kate McKinnon, and now it has a new Donald Trump.
Actor Alec Baldwin has signed on to don the Donald wig and fake tan when the late-night series returns in October. It doesn't sound like it will be a one-time thing, either; sources tell Variety that the former "30 Rock" star will play the brash businessman-turned-politician throughout the election cycle.
Baldwin seems like an excellent choice for the role. Not only do we know he can do comedy, there are certain similarities between the Republican Party's nominee and Baldwin's former "30 Rock" character, Jack Donaghy. Both are conservative, pride themselves on their work, and have very, shall we say, strong opinions on many groups of people.
Watch Baldwin preview his Trump impression in the teaser below.
Baldwin is no stranger to "SNL." The actor has appeared on the show numerous times since his first appearance in 1990 and even holds the record for hosting it the most times.
"Saturday Night Live" kicks off its 42nd season with host Margot Robbie on Oct. 1.
