Surprisingly, Nick Viall's latest TV role won't have roses, date cards, or fantasy suites -- at least not as far as we know.

The frequent Bachelor franchise star and "Dancing With the Stars" vet is set for more time on camera, but this time, he'll appear in a scripted series. Viall has nabbed a guest spot on the ABC comedy "Speechless," Deadline reports. That will put him on screen alongside series star Minnie Driver in a November episode.

Viall's character, Tyson, will be a B-movie actor who become friends with JJ (Micah Fowler) and tries to help him avoid conflict with his parents, Maya (Driver) and Jimmy (John Ross Bowie), by using his acting skills. In doing so, Tyson will apparently deceive Maya and Jimmy. We wouldn't be surprised to see his plan go off the rails, but we'll have to wait and see for sure.

"Speechless" premiered in September 2016 and its first season ran for 23 episodes. The sitcom returned for its second season on Sept. 27 and continues with the DiMeo family's adventures. Look for Viall in his upcoming episode come November.

"Speechless" airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
