The holiday weekend went well for Netflix. The streamer launched "Stranger Things" Season 3 on July 4 and saw record viewership in the first four days.

Netflix's Twitter account announced the news on Monday, writing that the season is "breaking Netflix records!" It even shared some actual numbers, which is rare for the company. Not surprisingly, those numbers are big ones.

"40.7 million household accounts have been watching the show since its July 4 global launch — more than any other film or series in its first four days," Netflix tweeted in part.

That's already impressive, but so was another fact: 18.2 million have already watched the entirety of Season 3. There are eight episodes in total that combine for 443 minutes of watch time, so getting that many people to watch it that quickly is a feat.

Season 3 brings back stars Millie Bobby BrownNoah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder. The actors previously teased an "epic" season, and the numbers show that they again succeeded in getting viewers hooked.
