The gang returns for Season 12 soon.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is coming back with more crazy antics and shenanigans, and FX Networks has finally announced its premiere date. The long-running comedy series will resume shortly after the New Year, on Jan. 4. It'll be the perfect antidote to the post-holiday blues.

There are big plans for the gang in Season 12. Not only will they be back at Paddy's Pub, they'll visit a waterpark and become embroiled in a PR disaster in the episodes to come. It sounds like the show will be as eventful, ridiculous, and hilarious as always.

Stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito are all back, reprising their roles as Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee, and Frank, respectively. Meanwhile, McElhenney, Howerton, and Day executive produce, along with Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkel, Tom Lofaro, Scott Marder, and David Hornsby.

Jan. 4 will be a good night for comedy on FXX; in addition to the "It's Always Sunny" premiere, "Man Seeking Woman" will return for its third season.
