'The L Word' Sequel Gets Title, Fall Premiere Date on Showtime

Meet "The L-Word: Generation Q."

That's the official title of Showtime's upcoming "L Word" sequel. The network also announced that the eight-episode season will premiere this fall.

"Generation Q" brings back original stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey, who will be joined by "a new generation of diverse, self-possessed LGBTQIA characters experiencing love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in Los Angeles," according to Showtime's logline.

Marja-Lewis Ryan ("The Four-Faced Liar") will serve as showrunner, with original series creator Ilene Chaiken on board as an executive producer.
