Tom Holland once went to a costume party dressed as Spider-Man, only to find out it wasn't a costume party.

"I was the only one dressed up," he says, laughing.

Now the British actor finds himself back inside the iconic red costume, this time as the latest incarnation of the swinging crime fighter in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," playing the superhero as an awkward 15-year-old high schooler still figuring out his powers -- and himself.

After making his Spider-Man debut in "Captain America: Civil War," Holland now gets his own movie, featuring Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr. and Disney Channel star Zendaya, and says he still can't get over the day when he found out he landed the role.

"I went insane. I went absolutely nuts. It was the most surreal feeling of my life,
he tells Made in Hollywood reporter Kylie Erica Mar. "The fact that people started to call me Spider-Man was just insane. Spider-Man's been my favorite character since I was a kid. My brother Patty still has my Spider-Man bedsheets. I was a huge fan."

The only downside? The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" costume is actually a lot less comfortable than the one he wore to that party.

"It's not very stretchy. It's not breathable. It's very dense," he says, but adds: "It looks amazing."
