Haddish plays a wild child named Tanya who is the polar opposite of her sister Danica (Tika Sumpter), who's about to get promoted to VP at her company and lives in a beautiful New York apartment. It seems like Danica has it all, including a handsome love interest, Charlie — whom Danica has been talking to online for a year but has never met.
Tanya immediately thinks her sister is being catfished and decides to catch Charlie in the act by engaging in all sorts of hijinks, like crashing a wedding.
From the trailer, it looks like Perry plays to Haddish's strengths, from her impeccable line delivery to physical gags like dancing and a fierce sashay down a wedding aisle. Whoopi Goldberg stars as Tanya and Danica's mother, which is just perfect casting.
"Nobody's Fool" opens in theaters November 2.
