Put a stake in it, "The Originals" is done.

Last night, "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff ended after five seasons. Fans were ... well, mixed on the results. Mixed may be putting it mildly. Some fans loved the finale, but many vocal viewers were angry and disappointed.

SPOILER ALERT.

"The Originals" killed off both Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson, with the brothers taking their lives together at the end. Some fans were upset about that, others just wish they had at least shown Haley and Elijah finding each other again in the afterlife.

In happier news, Vincent agreed to start a family with Freya and Keelin; and Rebekah plans to head to Mystic Falls for the cure to become human, living out her remaining years with Marcel.

Over at TVLine, fans are split in their grades for the series finale -- 37.35 percent graded it "F" with the next highest being 30.37 percent with "A."

The finale did include a Klaroline "I'll never forget you" kiss between Caroline Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson. The CW also shared a deleted Klaroline scene from the finale:

Let's try to remember them that way -- happily debating the meaning and impact of art.

Here are just a few passionate reactions to the finale:

Hope Mikaelson's story will continue in "The Originals" spinoff "Legacies," which premieres Thursday, October 25 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
