Former paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen, 22, is now a sportscaster for ESPN, and she has an amazing story.
She developed two rare conditions at age 11 that left her unable to speak, eat, walk or move at all. She spent four years locked in her own body, and recovery looked unlikely. However, after almost four years she fought back, eventually moving well enough to become a Paralympic swimmer, winning four medals for Team USA at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. In 2016 she learned to walk after spending 10 years paralyzed from the waist down. And now she's dancing.
Her pro partner is Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
