Countdown Season 1 Review
‘Countdown’ is a 1980s Action Throwback Blend of Machismo and Cheese. The new Prime Video series was created by Derek Haas and features and multi-agency task force who must investigate and stop a serious security threat. Have you ever pondered what would happen if a truck carrying a load of episodes of your average network procedural collided with another hauling 1980s and 1990s action thrillers? If so, your answer is appearing on Prime Video as Haas, a writer and producer behind the likes of ‘Wanted’, ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ and the various Chicago-set TV series that are numerous enough to fill a whole night of NBC’s primetime schedule has essentially built his dream series.

Meachum and Oliveras butt heads as the hunt for a DHS officer's killer leads Blythe's newly assembled task force all over LA… and ends with a startling revelation.

Blythe's team heads to Mexico to pull off a daring mission for a deadly cartel in exchange for information on the shipment at the port.
3. Happy Birthday Final
The team stages a high stakes prison break in an attempt to gain knowledge on the identity and whereabouts of the mysterious Volchek.
4. Bite 'Em Down
Still reeling from their loss, the team tracks down Timur Novikov's uncle, Mikhail… and hatches a plan to lure Volchek out into the open.
5. Blurred Edges
The team pays a visit to the Belarusian consulate in search of files that could finally reveal who Volchek is… and how far he's willing to go.

The team follows a new lead out to the California desert, where their suspect isn't going down without a fight. Meanwhile, Volchek initiates the next phase of his plan.
