Season 5 Plot
After a botched operation, Mick Brisgau is demoted to patrol officer, while Andreas Kringge encounters skepticism and mistrust at the LKA and attempts to uncover a case from Mick's past with an inflammatory police file.

Season 5 Episodes
1. Pandora's Box
After a botched assignment, Mick is demoted and sent out onto the streets as a patrol officer. But Andreas is also having problems in his new job at the State Criminal Police Office. His colleagues don't accept him, and his boss Koller believes Andreas is trying to blackmail him.
2. They Just Want to Play
After the attempt on his life, Andreas wants to quit his job. But Mick convinces him that he can only protect himself and his family if they solve Koller's death. During his unofficial investigation, Mick comes across a blackmail email.
3. The Crime of the Century
Mick finds no answers at Klaus Koller's funeral. However, he notices that he is being watched. When he tries to confront the person, the man escapes in a car. But he has seen the car before – in front of his daughter Isa's house!
4. Seven Letters
Mick gains access to a restricted LKA file containing a list of people who were involved in the big heist on New Year's Eve 2001/2002. There is a blacked-out name with seven letters on the list!
5. What Have I Done
Everything points to Mick having been involved in a serious crime. Apparently, he was not in a coma on New Year's Eve 2001/2002, but was involved in a strange incident involving a transport of millions of Deutschmarks.
6. Into Paradise
Now that Mick is suspected of murdering Bundesbank official Höthker, he flees to Monaco. There he wants to track down his father Erwin and question him about the events of New Year's Eve 2001/2002.
7. It Stays in the Family
Mick is finally about to find out what really happened on that fateful New Year's Eve and to what extent he was involved in the crime. Meanwhile, the air is getting thin for Andreas, because his partner Anja is also involved in the matter.
