Her involvement was all but a sure thing -- and other cast members have been talking about it, too -- but now, Liza Weil herself has confirmed that yes, Paris Geller will indeed be back for the "Gilmore Girls" revival.

Variety caught up with the actress to chat about all things "Gilmore," and Weil -- who played Rory's (Alexis Bledel) frenemy-turned-roommate on the CW show -- gushed about her return to Stars Hollow.

"It's very emotional to read them," the actress said of the new "GG" scripts. "It's like a really magical perfect time machine. I'm very happy to be a part of it."

Just what that part entails has been kept heavily under wraps -- as has most of the plot of the revival -- though Weil did say that she would be appearing in two of the four new 90-minute episodes. And costar Kelly Bishop (a.k.a. Grandma Emily Gilmore) dished in an earlier interview with TVLine that what the show has in store for Paris is "a hoot" and "unbelievable."

"It was like I didn't realize how much I missed her," Weil told Variety of revisiting her onscreen alter ego. "It was nice to sort of see an old friend."

We missed her, too, and can't wait to catch up with her and the rest of the "Gilmore" gang. Production is underway now (Weil said she started shooting on Tuesday).

The revival is expected to hit Netflix sometime later this year.
