Beautiful Creatures has its metaphysical cosmology worked out, and it gives it to us in doses big enough that we understand its rules and believe in its world, but not so big that it starts to get cute or that we stop caring. show more

Lead actor Ehrenreich conveys a spirited charm, while Englert, the object of his affections, is more blandly self-contained. show more

Nothing like the book! It left out 3 characters that make Ethan who he is. I don\'t know how they will make the next one because so much of what was left out comes again in the next book. If you haven\'t read the books you will probably like it, but if you have you will be disappointed.

This movie totally ruined the books for me. now when i read them i will picture the dork with the worst southern accent. They made the movie with the idea of the story not the book. Casting was all wrong in all characters, terrible acting. waste of time and money.

I haven\'t looked forward to a movie like this in a long time - and WHAT a disappointment. If you have read the series - DO NOT see the movie. It will just make you mad. I was SO angry by the end of the movie. If you can\'t stay true to the book characters - don\'t make the movie at all. FAIL
