Without forcing the material into facile uplift, Bloodworth-Thomason still edges it into the realm of inspirational, never overplaying the anguish or soft-pedaling the bigotry at the heart of the story. show more

Such a heart breaking story, but it opens the eyes of the public to the reality for homosexuals. Thank you for being brave enough Shane to share your story. It is making great strides to provide more light on homosexuals and their rights. To any one ************ this, I recommend a box of tissues.

This story has now moved into one of my top movies of all time! My heart goes out to you Shane for being the strong person that you are. Your healig time and walking through your new alone time & strength is wonderfully. Your circle of friends and family are great they way they stood by you! As for you not being able to go to the funeral Shanes parents are fools. Just remeber that it does not matter were he is burried, hes in your heart and no one can take that away!
