In this war-time drama, we find two hearts that share an amazing friendship.Capt.Antonio Corelli (Cage), is sent to Greece with his troop during... d War.He meets Pelagia (Cruz) and falls head over heels for her. While staying with the family, he grows more sensitive and distant from his superiors. He has a change of heart, against leaving her family in ruin. This movie shows not only Cage, the action star, but a more sincere side to Mr. Cage, the romantic lover.Bravo and cheers to the cast, for this sweet love story! Doesn't so much strike a lot of sour notes as fail to strike the right ones.Full Review

Handsomely weathered John Hurt, as Pelagia's father, gives a performance of such unhackneyed dignity that it provides a moral compass for the action and helps to keep the ricocheting emotional content of the film in balance.Full Review
