This documentary explores the hardships of being gay around the world, with a focus on Third World countries. Focusing on a 2001 event in Cairo, in which a group of gay men were arrested and then jailed because of their sexual orientation, the film delves into the experiences of gay, lesbian and transgender people living in places ranging from Vietnam to Pakistan. The interviewees discuss being the victims of homophobia and violence but also touch on how things are changing where they live.
