I loved this movie. It touched me.

I watched this movie the other night and absolutely loved it. Meg Ryan was perfect as the mother across the way who befriends Carter and teaches him... there is more to life than the emptyness that he had brought with him from LA. Olympia Dukakis was delightful as the grandmother. But the real dream of this movie was Adam Brody. He was perfectly cast and he was amazing in this movie. I never watched the OC very much but have always liked Adam. He was endearing as Carter. He took you along with him as you watched him come into his own through all of these women and their problems. Through their issues, he learned so much about life. Beautiful story. I loved it. Full Review

I liked it, but it was boring until it got half way through.I do recomend it to anyone who likes heartwarming chickflicks.I give it 3 stars out of 5.

I really enjoyed the movie. I was very surprised by the low ratings of the critics. Tremendous acting of all characters definitely carried this movie... through the full story, but I was very drawn in and left very light-hearted, and I did not once feel a scene to be cheesey or too mushy. Never do I have the urge to go watch a movie a second time at the theater, but with this one I would make an exception. Who wants to go see it? I'll go again! Full Review

What gives In the Land of Women its singular charm is the charismatic Adam Brody, the star of TV's "The OC."Full Review

Enjoyable for a movie in which pretty much nothing happens.Full Review

The 27-year-old Kasdan displays an ability to bring a refreshing, human touch to what could be overly familiar material that echoes what his father did in films like "The Big Chill" and "Body Heat."Full Review

Probably needed more originality than is on display. With an age-old cinema theme of a young man's maturation, it also needs to land female ticket-buyers but seems a lot like something women could find at home on the WE channel.Full Review
