Jackson and Wilson are both superb. It took some courage to cast an African-American as the villain in these days of political correctness. And the two-person detective team form a daringly cast odd couple. The only foul-up I detected was the reference to Wilson's extra-marital girlfriend as big-busted. She looked pretty flat-chested to me. Well ... and then Wilson's wife was a bit too pretty to be believable. Warren Shapiro

Two extremely talented actors star in this thriller with a performance by Jackson not met since Pulp Fiction. If you were ever unsure about how scary Sam can be, this movie pretty much clarifies that doubt.
