Thoroughly enjoyed it! Great story -- Glad it was told and glad I saw it. Kudos to these brave men who risked (and in a couple of cases, gave) their lives for such a noble cause. Good history lesson, wonderful opportunity to see amazing artwork up close, and very entertaining!!

Why do viewers give it 69% and critics only the experts are looking for what? First, if you at all love art and expect to see these saved pieces (Mona LIsa, Brugges Madonna etc.) in your lifetime...Go! Go! see this picture. Made me come home to look up more. Thanks Mr. Clooney!

good movie, not great, interesting part of history, could have been on the history channel not on the big screen. just fell short but still worth seeing as the story is very interesting and good acting, just expect more from a cast like this.

Austin Chronicle
Ultimately, however, this film is a collection of vignettes in search of a narrative center. Although it’s enjoyable, the film never coheres into a whole. Instead, it resembles a pile of ill-fitting jigsaw-puzzle pieces rather than a fully formed picture. Full Review

It comes down to a matter of tone, and Clooney can’t really settle on one. The Monuments Men is in no way a bad movie. Just, with this bunch, a disappointing one. Full Review

There's lots of information, some nice images, plenty of earnest sermonizing about culture and almost no suspense, or tension, or character development, or structure. Or, well, art. Full Review

Genial and well-intentioned, but tepid. Full Review

It’s a graceful, engaging film — I enjoyed it. But it could have been called "The Tasteful Dozen." Full Review
