  • Just try to take your eyes off Dern. In his finest two hours onscreen, he gives a performance worth cheering. There's not an ounce of bullshit in it. Same goes for the movie. show more

  • An authentic piece of Americana. There's no lying or condescending from this director. Nebraska feels pure. show more

  • Bruce Dern gives the performance of his career as the headstrong Woody in the brilliant, wisely observed and wryly funny Nebraska. What stands out is the fullness of the character, with mannerisms and expressions that make him wholly dimensional. show more

BORING. The entire movie (I watched) was in black and white. You couldn't even take any pleasure from the scenery of the boring drive from state to state. It was mostly drive, pee, drive, pee, sleep in motel find crazy dad in a bar. The enthusiastic reviews must be people on crack. Who are these people with rave reviews? This movie was so boring my sleep fell asleep.

Best movie I have seen in a long time. Reflected real people and real life. For anyone who has experience with the heartland of America, this film and its characters ring true. My only disappointment was with the soundtrack; it only occasionally added to the story. Mostly it was a detraction.
