As a soldier who has ACTUALLY been to Iraq. This story is a work of pure political propaganda very, VERY simular to what al qaeda produced and passed around via internet and in the neiborhoods of Iraq... . Hollywood is very afraid to tell tell the truth because their world would fall apart very much like the fiction in this story. Hollywood loves war, they profit from the blood of my brothers and sisters spilt they fabricate a story when it doesn't fit thier socialist views and agenda. They are quick to denounce a war but are quicker to produce a movie about the war and defile the soldiers, marines, sailors , and airmen who serve. They need to remember with out thier sacrifice Hollywood is NOTHING!! Full Review
Face it, republicans LOVE WAR. They not only love war, they lust for it. When their moronic leaders utter innane and traitorous comments to the enemy like "Bring em on" republicans all lap up such s... logans and foam at the mouth in anticiaption of more and more deaths. The Bush Regime is the most secretive one in the history of the United States, but republicans applaud a government which ignores its citizenry and which is in love with corrupt corporate criminals who are making hundreds of billions of dollars off of the deaths of almost 4000 dead American soldiers and almost a million innocent Iraqi people. Republicans do not see grey in their lives. They only are capable of seeing black and white. That is because in order to see the greys in the world it requires intelligence and wisdom, which they do not possess. Every republican who supported and voted for Bush and his corporate cronies are just as guilty of murder of 4000 American troops and 1,000,000 innocent Iraqis as their evil and corrupt leaders. The republican party is the greatest threat to the United States since it was founded. Since 9/11 Bush has allowed 12 million illegal aliens to invade our country. Since it only took 19 terrorists to cause so much havoc and death on 9/11 there are certainly at least 19 terrorists among that 12 million Bush allowed to walk into our country. Bush said that he would do anything to defend the US but he is a LIAR. Bush is a fraud and not one republican has the intelligence to see through the corrupt and evilness in their party of parasites who have caused a million times more damage to the US than any terrorist could ever do. Wake up people, the enemy to this once great country is the republican party. Full Review
This movie brings us the reality of war, there is nothing glorious about it, It is dirty, cruel, based on interest, humiliation and vengeance driven, not glory, not democracy, not freedom, not reconst... ruction but destruction and subjugation, the very proof of that is the vatican size mega US embassy complex being built in Baghdad, a castle fit for our viceroy and a blunt message not only to iraqis but to the region as a whole, while their whole infaestructure is in shambles... The film was very powerful and showed war as being the ugliest aspect of humanity. War is not a "team sport" like many politiicians portray it. Innocent people are brutally kiilled and tortured in all... wars. The moment a person thinks that their "side" is the "right side" they become vulmerable to all the atrocities. That is the reality. I applaud Mr. De Palma for his effort to remind people that war is not a board game followed by a parade. It is death and it is pain. Full Review
as well as the previews looked, this low-budget fictional documentary actually had no insightful messages; not to say it didn't have any commentary, but simply unmoving and uninspiring preaching for a... ny socially educated person above the age of 13 Full Review
