Plot Summary
The life of legendary British statesman Winston Churchill is told through archival footage, photographs and dramatic recreations of historic events in this compelling biography, narrated by Orson Welles. Born into the aristocratic family of the Duke of Marlborough, Churchill served as a soldier in British India, Sudan and the Boer War. Removed from the position of First Lord of the Admiralty, he rose to prominence during World War II and was elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1940.
