Are you people retarded? This isn't a remake, its a PREQUEL!!!!! To the 1982 film. That's why they're chasing the dog in the end, where the 1982 movie started......

This is simply a remake of the original. The original with Kurt Russell is still as scary if not more than this film. Sorry! Not worth the money!

This is what should happen on a regular basis in Hollywood - a well done movie as follow up to a well done movie ( even if they are thirty years apart.) The 1982 'Thing' was an absolute masterpiece. great movie and it did not really show too many like scenes from the prior movie in 1982. The thing used the same plot as before and it made it different with new twists and exciting moments.I loved this movie.
