In addition to spoiling us with Taz and Bugs shirts and Rockapella, the 1990s also gave us something we didn't know we needed: Good horror movies.

In fact, some of them were outright great, as the decade saw the slasher genre get an infusion of meta-goodness (thanks, "Scream") -- while high-concept efforts like "Seven" and "Blair Witch" brought audiences to the edge of their seats with multiple repeat viewings.

But there's a flip side to that coin -- the influx of decent slasher flicks also brought a ton of "Scream" clones, along with some really, really bad attempts at cinema.

With Halloween right around the corner, we've ranked and filed the 15 best (and worst) horror films from one of our favorite decades.
