"In this world, we're all so caught up in our own heads, it's easy to lose sight of what's real," Bryce Dallas Howard observes in the first trailer for "Black Mirror" season. Strike "heads" and replace that with "phones" and you've got the issue that the series has explored from the start.

Charlie Brooker's anthology series about the intersection between technology and human nature returns for a third season on Netflix. And the trailer shows that the six new episodes should be just as chilling, thought-provoking, and sometimes horrifying as what's comes before.
The new season brings in stars like Howard, Kelly Macdonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis, Michael Kelly, and Jerome Flynn; directors including Joe Wright ("Atonement") and Dan Trachtenberg ("10 Cloverfield Lane"); and writers including Rashida Jones and Michael Schur ("The Office").

"Black Mirror" season 3 begins streaming October 21 on Netflix.
