Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is taking Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) off the rum -- and dessert -- after the March 5 return of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6.

The midseason premiere brought back several old friends, including Pinocchio (Eion Bailey) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), but it was Wish Realm Hook who had fans talking ... and giggling. Wish Hook had aged a great deal beyond his Storybrooke counterpart, and also got a bit ... well, pleasantly plump would be a nice way of saying it.

Fans cried laughing at both the reveal of Wish Realm Hook and Emma's later announcement that they'd be sticking to water from now on.

Actor Colin O'Donoghue, who is ridiculously handsome in real life, told Entertainment Weekly he loved this incarnation of his character.

"It was great because the guys were like, 'Look, you're going to be old, fat, and just a crazy version of yourself,' and I was like, 'Okay!' It wasn't until I got the makeup on and the hair and the costume that I figured out who he was going to be. I really wanted him to sound like Hook, but different, older. It was just funny. He was a big bumbling idiot. I wanted him to be a complete contrast to who Hook is at the minute, but also he, in his mind, believes that he is God's gift to women and that he has this fantastic debonair air about him when in actual fact, he's just a mess."

He came off like a Hook version of Captain Jack Sparrow. Morrison told EW it was such a fun exchange coming across "Old Hook," as they called him.

The episode ended on a serious note, and with a return to the Hook fans are used to:

But some fans made a point to say their love for Hook is unconditional: Now that's true love! "Once Upon a Time" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
