"I've been gone for a very long time," Dave Chappelle admits in the trailer for his two upcoming comedy specials on Netflix.

No kidding — it's been 12 years since Chappelle's last comedy special. But the comedian is more than making up for lost time by releasing two new specials at once.

"Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas" (filmed in Austin in April 2015) and "Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin" (filmed in Los Angeles in March 2016) will begin streaming March 21 on Netflix.

The trailer features jokes about O.J. Simpson, ISIS, and the thing that "kills more black people than police" — seemingly innocuous table salt. And as usual, he'll tackle race, politics, pop culture, and celebrity in his unique, firebrand style.

Chappelle also has a third comedy special coming up, which is currently being filmed.
