Forget dancing shoes -- Matthew Morrison needs a stethoscope and scrubs, stat.

The "Glee" vet is scheduled to play a new "Grey's Anatomy" doctor on the hit medical drama. ABC confirmed Monday that Morrison had taken on a guest role, Variety reports. Unfortunately, the network remained mum on the details of his part, so it's up to us fans to try to piece together the specifics.

We're not totally without clues, though. Morrison gave us some key information by divulging in a video that he'd play a character named Dr. Paul Stadler in an upcoming role. Although he couldn't say what show he'd be on, it's safe to say now that he was referring to "Grey's."

On top of that, photos recently surfaced on social media showing Morrison hard at work on the ABC show. A Twitter fan account posted images of the triple threat on set with Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd.

According to the tweets, we can expect to see Morrison in Season 3, Episode 23. Dr. Stadler (Dr. McSingy?) and Alex (Chambers) seem to have some kind of business to deal with together, but we'll have to wait and see exactly how they're connected.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
