If Pepsi hoped everyone would quickly forget about the now-notorious ad starring Kendall Jenner it pulled last week after facing backlash, the company has had no such luck.

The stars and writers of "Saturday Night Live" were all too happy to remind the public of the beverage giant's big misstep. Saturday's episode took on the controversial commercial, mocking Pepsi and Jenner in a behind-the-scenes parody video. The sketch centers on the ad's earnest, hopeful director (played by "SNL" cast member Beck Bennett) as he realizes he has made a mistake when it's too late to stop the commercial from shooting.

It's both amusing and a little sad to watch him go from thinking he's making a powerful statement to coming to see that his plans play on cultural stereotypes, are tone deaf, and just are not going to make for "like, the best ad ever." We also find it a little cringe-worthy, just like the commercial itself.
