Johnny Depp has perfected his disheveled mumbling hipster look, but there's still a classically handsome guy underneath it all, and you can see that in the first look at "Richard Says Goodbye."

The comedy-drama just started filming July 25 on location in Vancouver, co-starring Zoey Deutch, Danny Huston, Rosemarie DeWitt, Devon Terrell, and Odessa Young. According to Variety, the film follows a world weary college professor (Depp) who decides to throw all pretense and conventions to the wind, and live his life as boldly and freely as possible, after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. Deutch plays one of his students.

As you can see in the gushing captions, Depp still has a lot of loyal fans out there, despite everything in his personal life, money woes, and political jokes.

No word yet on the release date for "Richard Says Goodbye."
