To no one's surprise, FX has decided to renew its critical darling "Atlanta."

The network announced the show's renewal Thursday, Variety reports. Season 2's finale aired May 10, so it took less than a month for FX to put in its order for more. Fans weren't really in horrible suspense, though; it would have been a much bigger shock if "Atlanta" hadn't continued. The series is fresh off of a Golden Globe win in the "Best Television Series -- Musical or Comedy" category, and star Donald Glover won one individually as well. He has also earned multiple Emmys for acting and starring in the show.

Scheduling for Season 3 could be an issue, as Variety pointed out. Not only has Glover been busy with projects like "Solo: A Star Wars Story," "Spider-Man: Homecoming," and the upcoming "Lion King," his co-stars' profiles have been rising, too. Zazie Beetz stars in "Deadpool 2," while Brian Tyree Henry and Lakeith Stanfield both have multiple films due out this year. FX hasn't said whether or not "Atlanta" Season 3 will premiere in 2019, or if there will be a gap between seasons like there was between the first two.

For now, we're just glad "Atlanta" was renewed.
