Some people just love monster movies, including Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, and Max Landis, who wrote (but didn't direct) the much-mocked cop/orc Netflix movie "Bright."

During a Reddit chat, Landis confirmed he's still working on a remake of dad John Landis's horror classic "An American Werewolf in London." He also said he was working on "CFBL" which the Redditor took to mean another classic monster feature: "The Creature From the Black Lagoon."

Never mind that we just got del Toro's loving homage to the misunderstood sea creature in the Oscar-winning "The Shape of Water." And we didn't ask for a remake of "An American Werewolf in London," did we? (Even his own dad urged him not to do it.)

Landis's BBC America series "Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency" starring Elijah Wood was just canceled, so he's got more time to focus on movies.

Another Redditor pointed out that Landis sharing a video from the Universal lot on his Instagram may confirm the "Creature" rumors.

Landis's other screenplays include "Chronicle," "American Ultra," and "Victor Frankenstein."
