Get ready for lots more Deja: "This Is Us" has promoted actress Lyric Ross to series regular for season three.

Ross joined the NBC tearjerker in season two, playing Deja, the troubled foster child taken in by Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson). Deja and the Pearsons had plenty of ups and downs throughout the season, though the teen seemed to form a close bond with Randall, and also got along well with their two daughters, Annie and Tess.

When we last saw Deja in the season two finale, she had just returned to the Pearsons after her mother waived her parental rights, paving the way for Randall and Beth to formally adopt her. But Deja didn't exactly handle her mother's abandonment well, destroying Randall's car while the rest of the Pearson clan partied at Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby's (Chris Sullivan) wedding.

Clearly, there's going to be some immediate fallout from that event, and now fans are also set to see plenty of additional Deja storylines in future episodes. We already know that a decent chunk of season three will focus on the past, and the future will also be explored. It's comforting to know that our present-day characters won't be forgotten, either.

Season three of "This Is Us" premieres on NBC on September 25.
