Alan B. Bursteen

Alan B. Bursteen is the Co-Founder and President of Milestone Studios, LLC. The company has the unique ability to source projects, work with talent reps, produce, finance, and set up distribution of commercial films worldwide to the marketplace. Milestone creates original content as well as develops film adaptations from fiction and non-fiction novels, articles, autobiographical works, and other source materials.

Milestone develops and produces films using private equity financing with budgets ranging from $5M - $15M per title. Genres include action, thrillers, crime, horror, comedy, and family. As President of New City Releasing, Inc., Bursteen became one of the most prominent licensing agents of independent feature films in the United States. He was responsible for licensing Christopher Nolan's film, "Memento," the Academy Award winning feature "Crash," the cult-classics "Boondock Saints" and "Freeway," among others.

His established track record for negotiating deals has made him a key figure in the industry. Throughout his career, Bursteen has successfully licensed over 750 motion pictures, produced more than 150 feature films and over 100 hours of television series. Bursteen was instrumental in creating the "World Premiere" branding for HBO, Syfy Channel, USA Network and Starz.

Bursteen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Arizona State University, and is a member of AFI (American Film Institute), ATAS (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), and the PGA (Producers Guild of America).
