Big Daddy - Ordering Food at McDonald's

Cashier: Hi, welcome to McDonald's. What can I get for you?
Sonny: [to Julian] Okay, what do you want?
Julian: Cheerios.
Sonny: Cheerios? They don't got Cheerios. What else?
Julian: Lasagna.
Sonny: [to cashier] Lasagna? What the hell's the matter with you? We'll take hotcakes and sausage-
Cashier: Sorry, sir. We stopped serving breakfast.
Sonny: [looks at the clock on the wall] What are you talking about? We're, like, 4 seconds late.
Cashier: No, you're 30 minutes and 4 seconds late. We stop serving breakfast at 10:30.
Sonny: [Julian starts crying] Aw, HORSESHIT!!! No, no, no. Don't cry, I'm sorry. I wasn't cursing at you. I was cursing at the lady.
Customer: [sarcastically] Nice parenting.
Sonny: [also sarcastic; throws the man's fries; to Julian; Julian cries louder] Hey, thanks. Are you my therapist? Take a walk! Do you want a Happy Meal? Can I get you one of those Happy Meals? You got a Happy Meal? Can we get a Happy Meal? WILL SOMEBODY GET THE KID A HAPPY MEAL?!?!
Homeless Man: Hey, man, where's my Egg McMuffin?
Sonny: Breakfast is over at 10:30.
Homeless Man: Really?
Sonny: Yeah.
Homeless Man: I thought it was 11:00.
Sonny: [leaves] I thought that too.
Homeless Man: Total mind blower.
Sonny: [carrying a crying Julian; sets him down; Julian continues crying; Julian is still crying; Julian nods; runs in front of a car and hits the hood, the horn blaring. He hits the ground. Julian stops crying, wiping away his tears and begins to giggle] Will you just relax? Here. What do you want me to do? What will cheer you up? You're gonna meet Vanessa tonight. You'll like her. You wanna see me get hurt? Will that cheer you up? All right. You think that's funny? Good. No more crying.
Car Driver: [gets out of vehicle] You okay, man?
Sonny: Next time, kill me.

Spotlight - The Impact of Spiritual Abuse on Survivors

Phil Saviano: When you're a poor kid from a poor family, religion counts for a lot. And when a priest pays attention to you, it's a big deal. He asks you to collect the hymnals or take out the trash, you feel special. It's like God asking for help. So maybe it's a little weird when he tells you a dirty joke, but now you got a secret together, so you go along. Then he shows you a porno mag, and you go along. And you go along, and you go along, until one day he asks you to jerk him off or give him a blow job. And so you go along with that, too, because you feel trapped, because he has groomed you. How do you say no to God, right? See, it is important to understand that this is not just physical abuse, it's spiritual abuse, too. And when a priest does this to you, he robs you of your faith. So you reach for the bottle or the needle. Or if those don't work, you jump off a bridge. That's why we call ourselves survivors.

Split - Navigating the Complexities of Social Invitations

Claire Benoit: [''About Casey standing over in the corner''] That's what happens when you do a mercy invite.
Mr. Benoit: I believed you wanted to invite everyone.
Claire Benoit: Dad, I can't invite everyone in my art class except for one person without social networking evidence inflicting more pain on that person than was intended. And I'm not a monster.
Mr. Benoit: I'm proud of you. I think.
Claire Benoit: She gets detention a lot and she yells at teachers sometimes. There was that rumor that went around that she just kept running away from home.
Claire Benoit: I seriously believe that we can go home now.
Mr. Benoit: Um, did I mistakenly convey this was a democracy? We are not going til she gets picked up.
Casey Cooke: [''Walks over to them''] Uh, the car broke down. I'm just gonna take the bus.
Mr. Benoit: You're not taking a bus. I'll drive you home. Claire has almost saved her half of the money she needs for a car. Isn't that right? This'll be one of the few times left I can drive you guys around. Huh?
Casey Cooke: Uh, I...
Claire Benoit: You won't be able to hear my dad tell jokes that only he thinks are funny for an entire car ride unless you come. You don't really wanna miss that.
