Rihona was born to a Japanese father and a Filipino mother in Ibaraki, Japan. She made her entertainment industry debut in 2012 with the idol group "Tokyo Yume Piyogumi". During this time, she made appearances in several dramas and TV programs. She graduated from Tokyo Yume Piyogumi on September 29, 2014.
