Of the 30,000 "disappeared" during the reign of the Argentine Military Junta in the 1970s and early 1980s, a disproportionate number, nearly 3,000, were Jews. Murderer portrays the victims, who were murdered by fiercely anti-Semitic soldiers, and their anguished families, whose lives were torn apart by what happened to their loved ones.
