Young orphaned brothers Tom and Bob are separated when Bob is taken to an orphan asylum by the authorities and Tom escapes As time goes by Tom takes to a life of crime but uses the proceeds to contribute to Bobs education Years later the brothers meet again when Tom tries to involve Bob in a con gameand neither one knows that the other is his brother Complications ensue
