Ratings & Reviews

  • See this movie for Douglas and Bacall, ignore the dialogue and just bask in their star chemistry, still strong after all these years.

  • A treacly, ham-fisted, German-American co-production about family ties that should only have been released in the circle of Hell reserved for movie critics.

  • Kirk Douglas' performance...is so strong and inspiring it's a shame there isn't a better movie around it.
