A Wish's Impact on Snow White

The Old Hag: Don't let the wish grow cold.
Snow White: [bites into the poisoned apple, which causes her to begin falling under a sleeping spell as the Old Hag looks on deviously] Oh, I feel strange...
The Old Hag: [quietly] Her breath will still.
Snow White: [gasps] Oh...
The Old Hag: Her blood congeal.
Snow White: [gasps one more time, then collapses to the floor, dropping the bitten poisoned apple in the process] Oh...
The Old Hag: [cackles evilly; cackles evilly] NOW I'LL BE FAIREST IN THE LAND!
The Dwarfs: Hurry, hurry!
Grumpy: There she goes! After her!
The Old Hag: [last words; gasping] I'm trapped. What will I do? The meddling little fools. I'll fix ya. I'll fix ya. I'll fix ya! I'LL CRUSH YOUR BONES!
Grumpy: [alarmed] LOOK OUT!

The Old Hag's Dark Plan Unfolds

The Old Hag: Dip the apple in the brew. Let the sleeping death seep through. Look. On the skin. The symbol of what a lies within. Now turn red to tempth Snow White to make her hunger for a bite. Have a bite. It’s not for you. It’s for Snow White. When she breaks the tender peel to taste the apple in my hand. Her breath will still, her blood congeal, then I’ll be fairest in the land! Ha-ha-ha! But wait… there maybe the antidote. Nothing must be overlooked. Oh, here it is. “The Victim of the Sleeping Death can be revived only by Love’s First Kiss.” Love’s First Kiss! Bah! No fear of that. The Dwarfs will think she’s dead. She’ll be buried alive! Ha-ha-ha! Buried alive! Ha-ha-ha! Thirsty? Have a drink! Ha-ha-ha!

A Request for a Story from Snow White

Snow White: [After the Silly Song] That was fun!
Happy: Now you do something.
Snow White: Well, what shall I do?
Sleepy: Tell us a story.
The Dwarfs: Yes, tell us a story.
Happy: A true story.
Bashful: A love story.
Snow White: [tells the dwarfs a story] Well, once there was a princess.
Doc: Was the princess you?
Snow White: And she fell in love.
Sneezy: Was it hard to do?
Snow White: Oh, it was very easy. Anyone could see that the prince was charming. The only one for me.
Doc: Was he strong and handsome?
Sneezy: And was he big and tall?
Snow White: There's nobody like him anywhere at all.
Bashful: Did he say he loved ya?
Happy: Did he steal a kiss?
Snow White: [singing] He was so romantic I could not resist. Some day my prince will come, some day we'll meet again. And away to his castle we'll go to be happy forever, I know.
Grumpy: Hah! Mush!
Snow White: [singing; The Dwarfs sigh] Some day when spring is here, we'll find our love anew. And the birds will sing and wedding bells will ring. Some day when my dreams come true.

A Charming Exchange Among Friends

Happy: Ain't he sweet?
Sneezy: Smells like a... petunia!
Happy: He sure is cute!
Grumpy: You'll pay dearly for this!
Snow White: Supper!
Doc: Supper!
The Dwarfs: [Drop Grumpy in the tub] Food. Hooray!
Queen Grimhilde: Magic Mirror on the wall, who now, is the fairest one of all?!
The Magic Mirror: Over the seven jeweled hills, beyond the seventh fall, in the cottage of the seven dwarfs, dwells Snow White, fairest one of all!
Queen Grimhilde: [opens the box] Snow White lies dead in the forest. The Huntsman has brought me proof. Behold, her heart!
The Magic Mirror: [[w:pig|pig] Snow White still lives. The fairest in the land. Tis the heart of a ] you hold in your hand!
Queen Grimhilde: [enraged; runs down a spiral staircase into the basement; goes through a door into a secluded laboratory as she reaches the end; throws the box down in outrage; takes the "Disguise" formula book off the shelf and flips through the pages; finds the "Peddler's Disguise" formula recipe; adds ingredients to make the potion; Drinks the potion] The heart of a pig?! Then I've been tricked! The heart of a pig! The blundering fool! I'll go myself to the dwarfs cottage in a disguise so complete no one will ever suspect. Now, a formula to transform my beauty into ugliness, change my queenly raiment to a peddler's cloak. Mummy dust to make me old. To shroud my clothes, the black of night. To age my voice, an old hag's cackle. To whiten my hair, a scream of fright. A blast of wind, to fan my hate! A thunderbolt, to mix it well. Now, begin thy magic spell! Look! My hands!
The Old Hag: My voice! My voice. A perfect disguise. And now... A special sort of death for one so fair. What shall it be? Ah! A poisoned apple! Sleeping Death. One taste of the Poisoned Apple and the victim's eyes will close forever in the Sleeping Death.

Unexpected Cleanliness in the Cottage

Grumpy: [inspects the clean chair with his finger] Heh! Chair's been dusted.
Happy: Our windows been washed.
Bashful: Gosh, our cobwebs is missing.
Doc: Why, the whole place is clean.
Grumpy: There's dirty work afoot.
Sneezy: [checking the sink; Sleepy nods] It's empty. Hey! Someone stole our dishes!
Happy: They ain't stole. They're hid in the cupboard.
Bashful: [picks a cup from within the cupboard; puts his finger in it to see no sugar inside] My cup's been washed. Sugar's gone!
Happy: [Sees a pot cooking over the fireplace with Dopey; sniffs] Something's cooking. Smells good!
Grumpy: [Jumps in front of them; the pot hisses; the three dwarfs jump back as the pot's lid clangs loudly] Don't touch it, you fools! Might be poison! See? It's witches brew.

A Deceptive Command in the Forest

Queen Grimhilde: Take her far into the forest. Find some secluded glade where she can pick wildflowers.
Humbert the Huntsman: Yes, Your Majesty.
Queen Grimhilde: And there, my faithful huntsman, you will kill her!
Humbert the Huntsman: But, Your Majesty... the little princess!
Queen Grimhilde: SILENCE!!!!!! You know the penalty if you fail.
Humbert the Huntsman: Yes, Your Majesty.
Queen Grimhilde: [holds up an empty box] But to make doubly sure, you do not fail, bring back her heart in this!

The Queen's Question to the Magic Mirror

Queen Grimhilde: [Wind blowing] Slave in the Magic Mirror, come from the farthest space. Through wind and darkness, I summon thee. Speak! Let me see thy face.
The Magic Mirror: What wouldst thou know, my Queen?
Queen Grimhilde: Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
The Magic Mirror: Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold, a lovely maid I see, rags cannot hide her gentle grace, alas, she is more fair than thee!
Queen Grimhilde: Alas for her! Reveal her name!
The Magic Mirror: Lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, skin white as snow.
Queen Grimhilde: [gasps] Snow White!

Theme of Work and Homecoming

The Dwarfs: Heigh ho, heigh ho / It's home from/off to work we go!

The Queen's Dark Plan for Snow White

Queen Grimhilde/The Witch: [disguised as The Witch; cackles, then pauses; looks through her book; reads the antidote aloud; to herself; slams book shut; cackles] When she breaks the tender peel, to taste the apple in my hand, her breath will still, her blood congeal. Then I'll be fairest in the land! But wait! There may be an antidote. Nothing must be overlooked. Ah! Here it is! "The victim of the Sleeping Death can be revived only by Love's First Kiss." "Love's First Kiss..." Bah! No fear of that. The dwarfs will think she's dead. She'll be buried alive!

Consequences of Neglecting Chores

Snow White: March straight outside and wash, or you'll not get a bite to eat.

Snow White Discovers the Dwarfs' Adorable Beds

Snow White: [laughs; yawns, lies across three of the beds] Let's see what's upstairs. Oh, what adorable little beds! And look, they have their names carved on them. Doc, Happy, Sneezy, and Dopey. What funny names for children! Grumpy, Bashful, and Sleepy. I'm a little sleepy myself.

Snow White Comforts a Lost Child

Snow White: [to a baby bird; laughs] Hello there. What's the matter? Where's your mama and papa? Why, I believe you're lost. Oh, please don't cry. Come on, perk up. Won't you smile for me? That's better. Your mama and papa can't be far. There they are! Can you fly? Good-bye. Good-bye!
